Users can convert video formats by using SUPER by eRightSoft on Windows computers or Compressor 4 by Apple on Mac computers. While SUPER is a free application, Apple charges money for Compressor 4 as of 2015.
To download SUPER, scroll down on the download page, and click Download Super Setup File. SUPER requires at least a Pentium 4 1800-megahertz CPU, 512 megabytes of RAM and 20 gigabytes of hard disk space to work.
Users can purchase and download Compressor 4 directly within the Mac App Store application. Once the download is complete, Compressor 4 appears in the Applications folder. It requires OS X 10.10.4 or later and at least 4 gigabytes of RAM to run. Apple suggests 8 gigabytes for 4K editing. Compressor 4 costs about $50 as of 2015.
