Some good screen recorders for Macs include Movavi Screen Capture Studio, Screenflick and iShowU. Quick Time Player, which comes preinstalled in Macs, also has a screen recording capability.
iShowU is only compatible with Macs that are running on OS X 10.7 or later versions. Although it has built-in presets to save users the trouble of setting up recording sessions, they can easily create their own. To record a video, users only need to drag the capture rectangle over what they want to record, and hit enter. The video is then available after finishing recording.
Movavi Screen Capture Studio is compatible with OS X 10.6 and later versions. After installation, users need to set the parameters for recording, such as the frame rate of the recording area; to record the screencast, to edit the video; and then to save the video in one of the available formats.
Screenflick is compatible with OS X 10.6 and later versions. In addition to typical desktop recordings, Screenflick is suitable for capturing high-resolution recordings, such as 3-D games. For users interested in using Quick Time Player, they should click on File, go to New Screen Recording, choose options for the recording from the pop-up menu, and then click on the Record button.
