Different versions of Amazon's Kindle e-reader pepper CNET's best e-book readers of 2015 list. The Barnes & Noble Nook Glowlight and the Kobo Glow both make the list as well.
The Amazon Kindle Voyager sits at the top of the list of best e-book readers of 2015, just beating out the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite. While the Voyager gets points for its ultra lightweight design and dedicated page-turn buttons, the Paperwhite is a more affordable option that features a screen resolution and built-in lighting that almost bring it to par with its more expensive counterpart.
Barnes & Noble's Nook Glowlight wins major points for its lack of advertising, improved lighting, sharp text and rugged design, but it lacks expansion slots and dedicated page-turn buttons. For affordability, 2014's standard Amazon Kindle wins out, with sharp text, decent storage and simple operation. The Kobo Glow wins in terms of openness of formats, allowing users to read e-books with multiple files types, including Adobe DRM formats.
