Moto Actions, Moto Display and Moto Voice are three freeware applications by Motorola. All three require Motorola phones that run on Android and all are available on the Google Play Store.
Moto Actions allows the user to give commands to the phone without using the screen. Users can perform hand gestures and arm movements to control their phones. For instance, a user can silence a call or snooze an alarm by waving his hand over the phone. Motorola suggests keeping a distance of 6 to 12 centimeters when using the gesture. Users can also twist the phone as if turning a door knob to open the camera application.
Able to provide a sneak peak of notifications, Moto Display works even when the display is off. With multiple panels that the user can swipe through, the application can show the time, received text messages, remainders and more. Moto Display automatically turns on the sneak peak display when the user approaches the phone. The company warns that not all of its phones are compatible with the feature. Refer to the user manual of your phone.
Moto Voice is a voice control application that allows users to control their devices by talking. The application can learn the user's voice and distinguish it from others. Users can directly ask questions of the application. For instance, saying "Do I need an umbrella?" returns a weather forecast. The application supports English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
