Flipboard is a mobile app that collects social media content and presents it in a magazine format. Users are able to flip through different social media feeds and websites without the hassle of switching between programs.
Launched in 2010, Flipboard was introduced by Apple and is available in 20 different languages. In 2012, the app became available to Android users and grew in popularity. Users are able to customize their boards and tailor the content to fit their interests. Time magazine listed it as one of the best Android apps of 2013 and called it a "personalized miniature magazine for Internet content."
