Boost Mobile charges a fee each time a customer changes his phone number, as of 2015. To change the phone number, the user should contact a customer service representative. The current phone or account password, and other personal information, is typically required before changing the phone number.
The customer service representative provides the user with a list of available phone numbers, so it is usually not possible to choose any number. Sometimes, the number of available phone numbers is low, so the customer service representative may select one for the user.
