SoftDent includes a Practice Central single-screen summary of key tasks and issues, such as high patient balances and user access. The system's Office Expert tool manages insurance claims, provides financial reports, prepares billing estimates for a range of patient types and assists with cash flow management. The Contact Expert function is integrated with the software's Phone Center program, bringing up relevant patient information when the user is speaking over the phone. The Team Talk tool allows for intra-office communication, including notes and reminders. SoftDent's booking system assists with making room allotments, identifying scheduling gaps and rescheduling appointments. The program can also book entire families at once.
Dental practitioners can use SoftDent to record a range of dental issues and maintain documentation including charts, images, financial information, treatment plans and medical history. Dental practitioners can also use SoftDent to track lab work and create custom patient letters.
Carestream also provides a range of integrated eServices as a part of SoftDent, including data backup, electronic insurance claim submission, digital patient registration, credit card processing and patient reminder emails, texts and voice mails. The company's eServices also include insurance eligibility verifications, automated patient statements and integration with third party software programs such as CareCredit and TeleVox.
