Features of the Galaxy Tab 4 include a 7-inch 1280 x 800 pixel display and a front-facing 1.3 megapixel camera. Other features include a quad-core 1.2 GHz processor and a multi-touch interface. The Galaxy Tab 4 runs the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system.
The Galaxy Tab 4 was announced in April of 2014 and hit the market the following month. Featuring a lightweight design and numerous software features, the Galaxy Tab 4 offers smooth performance even when multitasking but suffers from relatively low screen resolution for its price range. The tablet is small and compact enough to fit comfortably in one or both hands and is available with either a black or white finish. The tablet also features a textured finish for a more secure grip.
Other features of the Galaxy Tab 4 include a built-in accelerometer, e-mail and instant messaging applications, an HTML5 web browser, photo and video editing applications and a document viewer. The tablet features a non-removable 4000 mAh battery that provides power for up to 10 hours of use or 190 hours in stand-by mode. The device has both front- and rear-facing cameras, a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack, an ambient light sensor and a micro SD card holder.
