Some features of Acer Aspire laptops from the E series include a textured case, brightly-colored inner cases, Acer TrueHarmony media enhancements and Skype-certified camera and microphone hardware. Some models include optical drives and high-definition monitor display. Some other Aspire series include Z, One, Switch and Prestige.
Depending on the model, Acer Aspire E laptops come with Windows 8.1 or Windows 10. Most come with a 2.2- or 2.4-gigahertz Intel Core Duo-Core processor, a 14- or 15.6-inch screen, and between 6- and 12-gigabyte RAM capacity. The maximum monitor resolution is 1920 by 1080 or 1366 by 768 with a 16-to-9 aspect ratio. The hard drive disk comes in 500 GB or 1 TB capacity. Aspire E models include USB charging capabilities that continue to function with the laptop powered off.
Each model features a black outer case. The color choices for the inner case include charcoal grey, cotton white, rosewood red, coral pink, denim blue or tropical yellow. Interior colors appear on the inner monitor frame, keyboard and track pad area, the Acer logo on the front case, and as an edge accent along the front of the outer case. The cases feature an undercut design, which is sleek and compact while enabling the user to lift the lid one-handed.
