FaceTime can be used from Mac desktop computers. There is no official way to use FaceTime from a desktop computer running a Windows operating system.
FaceTime is set up on a Mac using an Apple ID and email address. The FaceTime app is visible under Applications. FaceTime is also used from several other mobile devices: the iPhone 4 or later, the iPad 2 or later, and the iPod Touch 4th generation or later. All these devices, including Mac computers, can make calls via FaceTime, even if the receiving device is not of the same device type. Use of FaceTime also requires an Internet connection.
