To enroll in AutoPay, visit ATT.com, and click myAT&T. Enter the account's username and password, then click Log In. Click Enroll in AutoPay. Select a payment method from the drop-down menu, and click Next. Review the terms, and click Submit to agree to be automatically billed.
It may take up to two billing cycles for AT&T to activate AutoPay on an account. Review each month's bill while waiting, checking the Bill-At-A-Glance section for a notification that the amount owed is scheduled to be automatically debited by credit card, debit card, checking account or savings account on the next due date.
While the AutoPay program makes managing AT&T services more convenient, the funds must be available at the time the bill is debited or the automatic payment fails. This could cause late fees from AT&T and overdraft fees from the banking institution used for automatic payments. AutoPay can be paused for a month from the Manage AutoPay link below the account's balance on myAT&T. Do this by clicking Cancel This Payment, then clicking Submit. This option is not available if the account's bill is due within the next two business days or if the account has reached an arrears credit status that requires payment.
