Consumers can earn points with the Verizon My Rewards Plus and Smart Rewards programs by enrolling in the program, paying bills, using the My Verizon app to manage their accounts and referring friends to the service. They can also use multiple mobile devices to accrue points on a single account.
As of 2015, the Verizon Smart Rewards program awards 10,000 points to eligible consumers who enroll in the program. It also grants additional points for every year that they remain customers. To be eligible for the program, a consumer must be a U.S. citizen who has access to the My Verizon service and whose account is in good standing. Although it’s possible to enroll in the program for free, Verizon sometimes requires additional enrollment in personalized marketing programs. Activities such as upgrading a basic phone to a smartphone or purchasing an accessory through the Verizon Wireless website award points only once, while other activities, including paying bills or keeping a tablet connected to the existing plan, yield points on a recurring basis.
The Verizon My Reward Plus program allows consumers who use the FiOS TV or FiOS Internet service to earn points through activities such as adding a premium channel, ordering new equipment or upgrading the existing TV or Internet service. Consumers can use the earned points in exchange for gift cards, movies or charity donations.
