To download iTube on an Android device, open the Settings tab, then open the Security tab. Within the Security tab, open Unknown Sources and select OK. Press either Direct Download - Download APK - Ver. 2.5 or Direct Download - Download APK - Ver. 2. Once the app has finished downloading, scroll down the notification bar and select itube.apk. All app permissions are required for this application to work properly.
ITube does not record or collect any private data nor does it use any push or notification advertisements. Some versions of iTube ceased to function on April 20, 2015 due to a protocol change that iTube could not control.
iTube is no longer available on iOS, but a link on iTube's Twitter account directs to the Apple Store page for an app named iMusic - Pro that functions similarly to iTube. IMusic - Pro allows users to listen to YouTube audio in the background without a video playing, similar to the way in which the standard Music app functions. IMusic - Pro allows users to search YouTube for various songs and also provides a top 100 list, trending video list, a favorite system, playlist support and Airplay support. IMusic - Pro is available for free.
