To disable Web Guard on a T-Mobile wireless device, log in to your My T-Mobile profile online, and deselect the option for the device. You can only modify the settings of Web Guard if you are the primary account holder.
Web Guard is a filter system service that allows account holders to limit younger customers such as members of the family under the age of 18 from viewing content of adult nature on their T-Mobile devices. The service is not available for all T-Mobile phones. As the primary account holder, you can also email T-Mobile to request to block or unblock certain content. A third-party vendor that keeps the Web Guard blocked URL list for T-Mobile then reviews the request before adding the content URL to the list.
Although you can prevent access to adult content, the service cannot block access to all content. Web Guard does not prevent access from adult content via text messages or email and does not function against third-party browsers used on the phone. Also, the service does not work in all locations and might not work at certain times. Web Guard also limits access to services that do not report its web traffic since it can disable its service functionality.
