The ways to pay an AT&T Wireless bill include through automatic payments, an online account, text message, phone and in person, as of 2015. A customer can also pay by mail.
With automatic payments, AT&T deducts the bill amount from a customer's bank account, or debit or credit card, two days before the bill's due date. A customer must have a myAT&T account to set up automatic payments. A customer can also use his online account through a tablet or computer for one-time payments.
To pay by phone, a customer must call the bill pay number listed on the official website and follow the voice instructions. If the call is from the AT&T wireless phone, a customer can just dial 611. A customer can also set up TXT-2-PAY, a program in which AT&T texts the balance due six days early. The customer then responds through text to use the payment information he entered when setting up TXT-2-PAY.
Customers also can pay in person at AT&T retail locations or authorized pay locations, provided they have their account numbers with them. The AT&T website has locator tools to help customers find retail locations and authorized pay locations. A customer can also mail his bill with a check payable to AT&T.
