To recharge Tata Sky accounts online, customers choose plans ranging from 8 to 30,000 rupees, and they select how much value to add to their accounts. Tata Sky services are primarily prepaid, so customers recharge when their accounts are low or empty. There is also an auto-debit option, which recharges the account a fixed amount of 500 rupees whenever it drops below 200 rupeess.
Oxigen Wallet and RechargeItNow offer additional online recharge options. To recharge, customers log in to their My Tata Sky accounts, or they can log in to a third-party site like Oxigen Wallet.
In addition to online options, Tata Sky allows payment through ATM machines (YES Bank and Development Credit Bank only) and SMS text messaging (ICICI Bank Savings only). Customers also have the choice of recharging via telephone, going in-person to a dealer or sending in a physical check. However, only online recharging allows customers to choose amounts up to 30,000 rupees. Non-Internet recharges only allow customers to add 8 to 9,999 rupees to their accounts in a single transaction.
