The iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c differ in design, performance and features. The former offers better specs and features, whereas the latter comes in brighter colors and a cheaper price tag.
In terms of construction, the iPhone 5s is slimmer and lighter than the iPhone 5c. The former has a metal frame, whereas the body of the latter is mostly made of plastic. Users can only choose between three color options for the iPhone 5s, which are silver, gold and space gray. The iPhone 5c comes in five brighter colors: yellow, blue, pink, green and white.
The iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c also differ in their cameras and storage capacities. While both smartphones have 8-megapixel rear-facing cameras with 1080p recording capability, the one in the iPhone 5s comes with a dual-flash, auto image stabilization and burst mode. As of 2014, the iPhone 5s is available in 16 GB and 32 GB variants, whereas the iPhone 5c has only an 8 GB model.
Other features present in the iPhone 5s, but not in the iPhone 5c, include the motion co-processor for dedicated fitness tracking and the fingerprint sensor for enhanced security. The iPhone 5s also employs the Apple A7 processor, which is the successor to the iPhone 5c's A6 processor.
