You first need to deactivate your Kik Messenger account before uninstalling Kik from your device. You need an iPhone or an Android smartphone and the email address you used to create your Kik account.
- Reset the Kik Messenger
Tap the Kik Messenger icon on your iPhone or Android smartphone. Next, tap Settings, and go to Your Account. Tap Reset Kik Messenger, and enter your email address. Then, close the application.
- Deactivate your account
Open a Web browser on your phone, and head to the Kik Deactivation page. Enter the email address you used to create your Kik account. Confirm the deactivation, and close the browser.
- Delete the Kik Messenger
On Android, swipe down from the top of the screen, and tap the box icon in the upper-right corner. Next, tap Settings, and swipe up until you see Apps. Tap Apps, and swipe up in the Downloaded section until you see the Kik Messenger app. Tap the app, and tap Uninstall. On the iPhone, tap and hold the Kik Messenger icon until an X button appears. Tap the X button, and confirm your decision to delete the application and all its data. You may also have to open iTunes and delete Kik from your library to remove all traces of the app on your device.
