To delete Internet bookmarks in Internet Explorer, click on the Favorites button, go to Organize Favorites, select the bookmark you want to delete from the provided list, and then click the Delete button. Different browsers have their own steps for deleting Internet bookmarks, though the process may hew closely to the one described below.
- Access the Favorites list
To access the Favorites list, open Internet Explorer, click on the Favorites button at the top menu of the browser, and then select Organize Favorites on the drop-down menu. This opens a pop-up window that contains a list of the current bookmarks on the right-hand side of the window.
- Select the bookmark you want to delete
Select the bookmark you want to delete from the provided list by clicking on it. To select multiple bookmarks, press and hold the Shift key on your keyboard, and use the direction keys to move from one bookmark to another.
- Confirm that you want to delete the selected bookmarks
On the left-hand side of the new pop-up window, click on the Delete button. When a pop-up window asks whether you are sure you want to delete the selected items, click Yes. The deletion process is complete when the Confirm File Delete window disappears.
