Full Answer

  1. Go to the Start Screen

If you are already there, skip this step. Otherwise, to get to the Start Screen in Windows 8, left click on the lower left hand corner of the screen or press the Windows key on your keyboard.

  2. Find the app you'd like to delete

On the Start Screen, look for the app you'd like to delete. If the app is not on the main Start Screen, look for it on the Apps screen. On computers with the Windows 8.1 update, the Apps screen can be accessed by clicking the downward pointing arrow on the lower left hand side of the Start Screen. On computers running the original Windows 8, the Apps screen is reached by right clicking anywhere on the Start Screen and clicking the All apps button in the lower right hand corner.

  3. Uninstall the app

Once found, right click on the app you'd like to delete. On Windows 8.1, a small context menu appears. On Windows 8, a ribbon appears at the bottom of the screen. On either of these, click Uninstall. On the prompt that appears, click the Uninstall button to delete the app.
