To crop a picture, open the picture, right-click anywhere on it, click Edit Picture, click Crop, then save the cropped picture. Although there are other ways to crop a picture, this process works for most picture-editing programs on Windows. The cropping process takes less than five minutes.
- Open the picture to access the Edit Picture option
Open the picture from its location in your computer, right-click anywhere on the picture to open a new menu, then click Edit Picture. This opens another menu on the right-hand side of the screen.
- Begin cropping the selected picture
Click the Crop button on the new menu at the right-hand side of the screen, move the cursor to the top-right corner of the picture, then press and hold the left button of your mouse to adjust the frame of the picture as you move the mouse. Click OK on the picture-editing menu after cropping the picture.
- Save the cropped picture
To save the cropped picture, move your cursor to the top-left corner of the page, and click File to open a new menu. Move your cursor downwards on the menu, and click Save As to save the new picture with a new name and keep the original.
