To create an Apple ID, install the latest version of iTunes, and create an account from within the iTunes Store. You need an updated iTunes version, a Windows or Mac computer, and an Internet connection.
- Open and update iTunes
Open iTunes, and check for updates. In Windows, click Help from the menu bar, and select Check for Updates. On a Mac, select iTunes from the menu bar, and select Check for Updates. Follow the prompts to update to the newest version. After updating, click Sign In to start the process of creating an Apple ID.
- Choose an account type
Click the Create Apple ID button in the new window. If you already have an account, enter your credentials, and click Sign In.
- Enter your information
After agreeing to the iTunes Store terms, enter your information in the Provide Apple ID Details window. Type your email and password, and select a security question and answer. Click Continue after including all the information to complete your ID.
- Enter your billing information
Enter the payment type and billing address in the Provide a Payment Method window. Apple uses this information to bill you for any purchase you make from the iTunes Store. Afterward, enable optional features, and click Done.
