To copy and paste a picture from an Internet site, open the image, right-click on the image, and then select "copy" or "copy image" from the drop down menu. Once the image is copied, right-click in the location where the image is to be pasted and select "paste" from the drop down menu. Alternatively, hit CTRL + V on the keyboard to paste the image.
Not all images found on the Internet are allowed to be copied. Usually, if the user is able to right-click on the image and copy it, the image is allowed to be copied. A place to start when trying to find an image is Google's, Yahoo's or Bing's image searching tools. These tools allow the user to search for a specific image based on the search terms.
Make sure not to copy the thumbnail image, or the smaller version of the actual image. Copying this version results in a lesser quality image when the image is pasted. If using a Mac computer that has a single-button mouse, hit the CTRL key on the keyboard before clicking on the image to copy it. To use an image on a website or in a Facebook post, select "copy image address" or "copy image URL" from the right-click drop down menu.
