The Retina HD display measures 4.7 inches diagonally, is LED backlit and has multi-touch capability with IPS technology. It has a 1334 x 750-pixel resolution and a 1400:1 contrast ratio. The screen has a fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating.
The iSight camera has autofocus with focus pixels, true tone flash and a five-element lens with a sapphire crystal lens cover. The camera shoots burst mode and panorama shots. The camera shoots 1080p HD video at 30 to 60 fps, or slow motion at 120 or 240 fps. It also records time-lapse videos. Both photos and videos can be geotagged.
A Touch ID fingerprint identity sensor is built into the home button. Apple Pay technology allows payments in stores using an iPhone. Stores such as GameStop, Jamba Juice, McDonald's, Nike, Subway and Staples accept Apple Pay.
The iPhone 6 comes in silver or space gray, and with 16 or 64 gigabytes of memory. The phone weighs 4.55 ounces and is 6.9 millimeters thick.
