To convert CDA to MP3 in Windows 7, download and install an audio converter utility that supports CDA and MP3 formats, such as Any Audio Converter (AAC). Put the audio CD in your optical drive, run AAC, and use its conversion function to create MP3 files.
- Download and install Any Audio Converter
Use your Web browser to navigate to the AnvSoft home page, click on the Any Audio Converter link in the "More Software" section of the page, and click on the Download button. Once the download is complete, double-click on the executable file, or click on it once in the Google Chrome download bar, to initiate the setup. Follow the installation wizard instructions to complete the process.
- Initiate the conversion process
Put the audio disc containing the CDA files in your optical drive. Click on the Start button, and select the All Programs option. Click on the AnvSoft folder, and click on Any Video Converter located in the folder bearing the same name. Click on the Add CD button, select your optical drive, and check the boxes next to the songs you wish to convert.
- Complete the conversion process
Once you select the songs, click on the Load the Disc option. Click on the Output Format button in the top right corner, and select the MP3 option from the drop-down menu. Click on the Settings button if you wish to modify parameters such as bitrate, channels or volume. In the Output Folder section, click on the button marked with three periods, and select the location where you want to save the MP3 files. Click on the Convert button to complete the process.
