Connect to the App Store on an iOS device by opening the Settings app, choosing the iTunes and App Store option and entering an Apple ID and password. To sign into the App Store an a Mac, simply open the App Store app and enter an Apple ID and password.
Signing into the App Store on any Apple device requires the use of an Apple ID and password. To create an Apple ID, visit the Apple ID section of the Apple website and register with a name, date of birth, email address and mailing address. This information is required in order to verify identity and to check against any credit card or banking information associated with the account for future purchases. A username that serves as an Apple ID is also required; it should not include any personal information or hints to the associated password, in order to offer the highest level of safety.
In addition to an Apple ID, Internet connection is also required in order to sign into the App Store or the iTunes Store. Signing in without a connection can lead to authentication issues that may require the user to sign out and then sign back in again.
