Companies that provide their users with online color visualizers include the Sherwin-Williams Company, Benjamin Moore & Co. and PPG Architectural Finishes, Inc. The latter operates two websites, Olympic and the Voice of Color, that provide similar functionality and different preset images portraying various rooms and exteriors.
The Paint Color Visualizer section of the Sherwin-Williams Company website allows visitors to create an account and save their experiments with color. The main window features four buttons, letting visitors upload their own images, paint interior and exterior scenes by using preset images and explore different colors. The button for interiors offers multiple room types, including bedroom, kitchen and dining room, among others, whereas the button for exteriors allows selection of various styles, including colonial, ranch and contemporary.
Olympic and the Voice of Color websites provide a large selection of colors that can be added to specific parts of an image. These websites also allow users to upload their own images, extract colors from them and apply those colors to another custom or preset image. Olympic lets visitors select any number of colors, all of which are listed using codes, names, and popularity. Once the colors are selected, they appear on the left side of the main window, allowing visitors to drag the colors onto the image with ease. The color visualizer provided by Benjamin Moore & Co. offers similar functionality, except it automates the coloring process immediately after a user selects a desired color.
