How Do I Check My Voicemail From Another Phone?

Dial your phone number, and then press the pound (#) or star (*) key to access your voicemail from another phone. This method works for mobile phones on the Sprint, AT&T and Verizon networks. To check your home answering machine messages, press "0" and enter your PIN from any landline or mobile phone. Because the phone cannot save your password, checking your messages from another phone does not affect your security.

  1. Call your phone number

Call your phone number using any touch-tone phone. When you hear your greeting, press the star key if you have a Sprint or AT&T cellphone account. Press the pound key to interrupt your greeting if you use the Verizon cellphone network. For a home answering machine, press the 0 key during the greeting. Check the answering machine manual if pressing 0 does not interrupt your greeting.

  2. Enter your password

For mobile phones, enter your password once prompted. For landline answering machines, enter your PIN to hear your messages.

  3. Listen to your messages

Listen to your voicemail messages, and use the appropriate keys to skip, save or delete any messages from your list. For home answering machines, review your manual to find the codes for navigating and configuring your messages. End the call once you have finished.
