  1. Login to your YouTube channel

Go to youtube.com and sign in to your account. Enter your YouTube username and password. Your username is most likely your Gmail address unless your account is not connected with Google Plus.

  2. Go to your channel

From the YouTube home page, click on the three vertical bars next to the YouTube logo in the top left corner of the page. This icon displays the guide. Once the guide is open, click on My Channel.

  3. Navigate to the channel settings

To access your channel settings, click on the pencil icon that appears in the same box as your name at the top right corner, and select Channel Settings. The pencil is invisible unless your pointer arrow is in the same box as your name.

  4. Change your username

Next to your name, click on the Change link. If your YouTube account is linked with Google Plus, you are redirected to your Google Plus page to edit your name.
