Change a MetroPCS phone number to another phone by going through the Activation section on the MetroPCS website. Dial the MetroPCS customer service phone number, and follow the prompts to complete the change without going online.
- Go to the MetroPCS website, and click Activate Device from the menu
Look for a menu along the top of the website that has several links, including Coverage Map, Store Locator, Make a Payment and Activate Device. Select Activate Device from the menu.
- Select Change/Upgrade Device under Add or Change Devices section
Look for three sections lined up next to each other, which are Activate Your Device, Add or Change Devices and Get a MetroPCS Device. Select the Change/Upgrade Device button from below the Add or Change Devices section.
- Log in to MetroPCS account with phone number and password
Look to the right side, and click the Sign Up Now link if you have not already signed up for a MetroPCS account. Receive a six-digit verification number from MetroPCS on your old phone as part of the registration process. Put the code into the form before submitting.
- Finish the transfer
Follow the prompts on the next page to finish transferring your phone number to a new device.
