To change the channel on an Amped Wireless router, connect the router to your computer via an Ethernet cable. Go to Setup.AmpedWireless.com and enter the username and password, both of which are set to "admin" by default. Navigate to the correct page by clicking on More Settings, then Wireless Settings and finally Basic Settings. Locate the channel drop-down box, choose the channel that you would prefer, and click Apply.
When setting up a new Amped Wireless router, the settings configure automatically during the initial setup process. This is completed by following the onscreen prompts from the Amped Wireless setup page. The channel is automatically preset at the factory but can be manually reconfigured when necessary, such as when configuring the channel to match that of the home network.
Channel availability is based on compatible bandwidth. Change the router bandwidth to access the channel compatible with the device. This is changed on the same page, from a drop-down menu just above the menu for the channel.
Change the channel to the desired number, and click on Apply to reboot the router. When the router restarts, it automatically uses the new channel selected. Disconnect the router from the Ethernet cable; the router is now ready for use as a wireless device.
