Straight Talk cellular phone service is designed to work with the Wal-Mart phone network. The program does not require a long-term contract, credit check or activation fee.

The Straight Talk service offers a variety of plans that are renewable from month to month or longer. The $30 a month, 30-day service plan allows 1,500 minutes, unlimited text messages and 100 MB of data for Web access.

The $45 a month, 30 day plan offers unlimited minutes, unlimited text messages and unlimited web access. The $125 service is for 90 days and offers the same unlimited minutes and access and the $249 offers the same unlimited service for 180 days.

Wal-Mart also offers a $60 a month international plan with unlimited minutes, text messages and data along with unlimited calling to more than 1,000 destinations worldwide. The plan includes 400 minutes of calls to cellphones in Mexico.

Once the order is placed online, customers will receive an email confirmation from Wal-Mart to verify the order was placed. A second email from Wal-Mart will have the information to access to a PIN necessary to download the service.
