There are no Lexia Reading apps available for students to download on cell phones, as of March 2015. There is a free myLexia app for teachers available on iPhones and Android cell phones.
Lexia, a Rosetta Stone company, provides personalized computer and tablet-based reading instruction to students of all abilities in kindergarten through fifth grade via its Lexia Reading Core5 program. This literacy program covers phonological awareness, phonics, structural analysis, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension. Lexia Strategies is available for students in grade 6 and above who are struggling with their reading skills. Both use an embedded assessment program to track the children's work throughout each school year and provide educators with performance data and resources to assist their students.
Lexia's reading programs are available for use online, as computer downloads and through apps on iPad and Android tablets. Teachers also have the ability to download the myLexia app on the iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and on Android devices. Educators can use the app to view student and classroom data, action plans for improvement and certificates of achievement for recognizing student successes that can be emailed or printed out. Parents and students can access Lexia programs from home through their computer or tablet.
