Amazon.com lets users write reviews on the physical and digital products it sells, such as books, electronics, home items and clothing. Reviewers must first have an Amazon account and have been charged for the purchase of at least one item, which does not have to be the reviewed item. This is to verify identity, and users must wait 48 hours waiting before they can submit the first review. Consumers submit each review by clicking the Write a Review button on the product's detail page.

Buzzillions also has a Write a Review button on its product detail pages. Review writers must first create an account. Product categories include electronics, computers, sports, home and garden, and health and beauty. The others are clothing, shoes, toys and baby.

On BizRate, writers click on a Write a Review link on a product's detail page, if the page has one. Clicking on a product page takes the user to that product's page. Each store has its own page layouts, so the Write a Review link may be present on a tab for some products, such as Disney bedding, but hidden on others, such as Michael Kors handbags. Users may have to register and sign in to some vendor sites to review their products.
