To upgrade a Verizon Wireless phone as of May 2015, click on Upgrade Device from the My Verizon page on VerizonWireless.com. Choose a cell phone, click Add to Cart and proceed to checkout.
Visit the VerizonWireless.com home page, and click on My Verizon. On the drop-down menu that appears, click on My Device. Log into your account, or register if you haven't created an account. On the Upgrade Device page, you must choose a phone to upgrade if you have multiple lines on your account. After selecting a phone, you can select any other features or accessories you want before checkout.
Verizon Wireless offers delivery of the upgrade and in-store pickup, in some cases. The company charges an upgrade fee whenever an upgrade is used to purchase a phone at a discounted price.
The Upgrade Device page lists the date a device is eligible for an upgrade next to each line on the account. You can transfer upgrade eligibility between devices on an account. If you aren't eligible for an upgrade but want a new phone, options include buying a device at the full retail price or buying a certified like-new replacement device.
After ordering an upgrade, click on Check Status on the My Verizon page to view your upgrade's status.
