Users can check their mobile phones for MHL compatibility by visiting MHLConsortium.org and finding their model on the site's list of compatible devices. If the make and model of the user's mobile phone is on the list, it can be used with other MHL devices.
From the home page of the website, the user can begin the search for a mobile phone by clicking the MHL Devices link in the header. This takes the user to five categorized lists. Among these is a list of mobile phones, arranged alphabetically by brand.
The user can also narrow down this list by using the filter options on the page. These options allow the user to filter by device, brand and MHL version, so it is easier to find his model. If, for example, the user has an HTC One, he can click the check boxes for Mobile and HTC under the Device Type and Device Brand menus. The One model is listed as a MHL-compatible HTC phone.
The user can also scan a QR code at the bottom of the website. This requires the user to download the necessary mobile application. Scanning this code tells the user whether or not his device is compatible.
