The categories each have a symbol located on the left side of the label. If the product is eligible for warranty, a green check mark is visible on the left of the label. If the product is not eligible for warranty, an orange exclamation mark is visible on the left of the label.
There are three methods to locate the hardware serial number of the product. One method is to look on the surface of the product. Another method is look in the About, About This or About Me section of the device software. The About section is found in the General Settings category of the software. For example, on an Mac computer, the About This Mac is located by clicking on the Apple logo in the top left corner. The third method requires that the user syncs the product with iTunes.
