Get a list of the most-searched-for keywords by using trend analysis tools, such as Google Trends. Keyword research tools, such as Google Adwords, provide a consolidated list of top keywords, as well as leading keywords in specific niches or categories.
Google Trends provides a list of top trending stories and keywords and can be filtered by country and category. This tool does not list trending keywords based on date; instead, it is a live indicator of current trends and interests. Google Insights is another tool that provides a list of the top 10 related searches to a keyword, as well as the top 10 rising searches.
Many search engines release a list of the top 10 most searched-for keywords at the end of each year. This list is based on year-versus-year search trends and not on how frequently these keywords are searched.
