Nigerian producers may upload videos on YouTube. As of 2015, anyone may post videos as long as he possesses a YouTube or Google account. YouTube requires users to observe certain community guidelines when uploading videos, such as a prohibition on pornography, violent content, copyright violations, hateful content and threats.
As of September 2015, YouTube carries several videos of Nollywood origin. "Nollywood" is a term that refers to Nigerian cinema. Although individuals upload most of YouTube's content, many corporations and organizations join YouTube's partnership program to upload their own original material. YouTube allows unregistered users to watch videos but permits only registered ones to upload videos.
