Cricket Wireless customers can purchase new Cricket cell phones through Cricket's website, Cricketwireless.com, or from a Cricket Wireless retail store location. Many retailers and phone resellers also sell new Cricket phones, including Wal-Mart.
Cricket Wireless maintains a network of retail stores nationwide that sell new Cricket cell phones and services. These are distinct from Cricket's payment center locations, which include retail stores, such as Wal-Mart, and convenience stores, such as 7-11. However, some payment center locations offer new Cricket cell phones for sale as well, especially payment centers located at larger stores such as Wal-Mart.
Cricket Wireless offers many of the latest smartphones for use on its network as of April 2015, including phones manufactured by Samsung, Apple and Nokia. However, Cricket's new phone line-up usually does not include flagship models such as the Samsung Galaxy 5 or Apple iPhone 6. Previous generations of these phones are often available in new condition, however, as are second-tier models in current production such as the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime.
Cricket Wireless customers can also bring compatible phones from other networks onto the Cricket network, so it may be possible to purchase a new phone from a different vendor and transfer it onto Cricket's service. Most unlocked GSM-compatible phones are usable on the Cricket Wireless network. However, customers need to purchase a new SIM card from Cricket to take advantage of this option.
