Printer owners can download the driver to run their printer from HP's website at HP.com. Once the driver is installed, the user should be able to select their printer from the print menu when ready to print a document.
New printers come with installation CDs to help users set up and install their printers with ease. If the CD is lost, users can still install their HP printer by downloading the printer driver.
- Visit the HP website
- Search for the printer model
- Download and install
Hover the mouse cursor over the "Support" tab, scroll down to "Download Drivers" and click on it.
Search for drivers by the model of printer owned on the search bar displayed. You may also use "Detect my product" to have the HP website automatically detect the printer connected to the computer.
Click on the "Download" button for the desired driver. Once the driver has downloaded an install window will pop open. Click on the "Install" button to have the printer driver installed to the computer.
