Look up the IMEI number in the About section on both iPhone and Android devices. You can also find the IMEI number on a white sticker beneath the battery in some cases. You only need an iPhone or an Android smartphone to get started.
- Turn on the phone
Power on the iPhone or Android smartphone using the power button on the device. Wait for the system to load.
- Locate the Settings
On Android, swipe down from the top of the screen to reveal a squared icon in the upper-right corner. Tap the icon to reveal the Settings option. Press Settings to open a new menu. On the iPhone, tap Settings on the Home screen.
- Navigate to the About section
On Android, swipe up from the bottom of the screen until you see About Phone. Tap About Phone to open a new menu. On the iPhone, tap General, then tap About to reveal the IMEI number.
- Find the IMEI number
On Android, tap Status to view your phone's serial number and other information. Swipe up to view the IMEI, ESN, MEID and other information. Afterward, tap the Recent Apps icon at the bottom, and swipe the window to the left to close the Settings application.
