Dynex brand televisions are available through Best Buy retail stores in the United States and Future Shop in Canada. However, as of April 4, 2015, all Future Shop retail stores have been rebranded as Best Buy, following a consolidation effort by Best Buy.
The Dynex brand of electronics offers exclusive sales through Best Buy stores, though some can also be located through online marketplaces. These are not partnered distributors and more often represent a secondary market rather than a primary seller. According to its website, Dynex does not acknowledge any other authorized retailers. All customer support for Dynex brands is offered through Best Buy and its affiliates, including technical support and installation support for televisions, audio equipment and other peripheral devices.
Other brands exclusive to Best Buy include Init, Insignia and Rocketfish, as well as the Geek Squad service group. While Best Buy itself does not manufacture these devices, it is partnered with a number of electronics manufacturers that provide the products in their final, consumer-ready form. Better known as house brands, these exclusive products compete with more widely available brands, appealing to shoppers looking for a comparable device at a more affordable price point, made possible by the lower overhead cost to Best Buy.
