Verizon does not allow customers to cancel their service online, but it does allow changes to accounts online, as of 2015. To cancel Verizon home service, the customer must contact Verizon via telephone.
Verizon only accepts cancellations between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., and customers can only make requests from Monday to Friday. For people moving or who otherwise wish to change their account, but not cancel, Verizon allows fields these request at any time via its website. Verizon also allows renewals online, which means people who are not happy with a current bundle, but still want to keep Verizon's service, can take care of their account on the Internet.
