To cancel a pending Kindle order on Amazon, customers must contact Amazon Payments customer service with their order number either by email or by phone. Sellers on Amazon are not able to cancel nor confirm any orders while they have a pending status.
A Kindle is an Amazon device that allows users to download and read e-books, articles, and other digital text media. When a product is bought on the Amazon store, the company must process the payments, take out Amazon's share of the profit, and send the payment to the seller of the product. Both buyers and sellers can look at the status of an order through the Manage Orders feature.
Orders are either pending, cancelled or completed, and pending orders mean that either there is an issue with the buyer's payment or that Amazon simply has not processed the order yet. To cancel an order that is pending, follow the steps below.
- Have the order number and receipt ready
- Contact Amazon Payments customer service
The quickest way to track down a Kindle order is to identify the order by its unique order number.
Either by phone or email, contact Amazon's customer service department and relay the order number to them. From here, explain that the order should be cancelled.
