The game Candy Crush utilizes much of the social functionality available on Facebook, including requests and notifications. This can be information received from other users or information sent. All these notifications, requests and posts can be switched off using the settings in Facebook; to block the app entirely, block app requests from friends or prevent the app from posting on behalf of the user.
To block the app completely, log into Facebook and click on "Settings" then "Blocking." Type in "Candy Crush" and block it. To block notifications but keep the app unblocked, go to a notification and click the "X." From there, select the option to switch off notifications.
To stop Candy Crush from posting to a user's friends it is necessary to restrict who views those posts. Go to "Settings" and select "Apps," choose "Candy Crush" and "Edit." Under "Visibility of App" select "Only Me."
Finally, it is possible to block notifications from friends who play Candy Crush. This is done by blocking app requests, which does not affect the user's ability to see their friend's timeline posts. To block notifications about Candy Crush from another Facebook user, go to "Settings" and select "Blocking." Choose" Block Invites From" and type in the name of the person.
All of these settings can be reversed if required.
