Average battery life depends on the type of phone. A battery in a smartphone will provide about five hours of talk time on 3G networks and 150 hours of standby time. High-end smartphones can provide almost twice that amount of battery life.
Batteries for use in other types of phones will provide more than 10 hours of talk time and 400 hours of standby time. Cellphone battery life is also affected by the frequency and type of use of the phone. Playing games, surfing the web and media playback all cause battery life to drop. The brightness setting and using Wi-Fi also negatively affect battery life.
