AppleCare extends coverage of several Apple products, including Mac computers, iPhones, iPods and iPads. Products sold by Apple are offered with a one-year limited warranty, and AppleCare offers extra insurance, such as technical support, service and repair. For iPhones, AppleCare allows for two incidents of accidental damage.
AppleCare extends the original warranty from one year to two years. For the incidents of accidental damage, a service fee applies.
AppleCare must be acquired within 60 days from the date of purchase of a new Apple product. The purchase date is defined as the date the product is shipped and the customer is charged.
