An approved Apple Retail Store can fix broken iPhones, states Apple. A Genius is available at the store to receive the service request, assess the iPhone's damage and perform the necessary repairs.
Repairs completed at an Apple Store should be complete the same day as the appointment. The most common services and repairs requested by iPhone users include broken or cracked screens, and battery or power problems. An iPhone's diagnostics can reveal additional faults, which require a customer to pay an extra fee to facilitate the repairs.
The cost of repairing an iPhone depends on its model, as well as if it is covered by AppleCare. If the iPhone is covered by AppleCare, it is eligible for two repairs covering accidental screen damages at a reduced service charge of $79. Without AppleCare, the cost is $109 for an iPhone 6 screen and $129 for other iPhones in the 5 and 6 series, as of 2015.
