AnchorFree is a private software company that provides a virtual private network for secure and private Web browsing. Two friends, David Gorodyansky and Eugene Malobrodsky, founded the company in 2005.
AnchorFree produces a software called Hotspot Shield that protects a user’s identity and privacy online, preventing credit card theft and identity theft. It allows users to gain access to censored websites, especially in countries where the Internet is censored. The software also protects users against spam, malware threats and phishing sites.
Hotspot Shield is available for smartphones, tablet computers and personal computers using iOS, Mac OSX and Microsoft Windows operating systems.
